Has anyone successfully used the Google Apps Migration tool to migrate email accounts from an Apple Mail server running in OS 10.6 - 10.8? I know there's a tool called GoogleEmailUploader that pushes driectly from user's accounts at the workstation level but that's very time consuming and takes the workstation out of service for the duration. We used the Google Apps Migration for MS Exchange tool in IMAP mode to transfer mailboxes, and were required to use the Google Apps Migration for Outlook tool for any contacts or calendar items. Had we been running Exchange, I believe most of the contacts/calendars could be migrated in the Exchange tool, but I'm not 100% familiar with the process.

My organization is moving to Office 365 to replace Google Apps. The IT director is being vague on the details. The transition date keeps on moving back due to issues with mail migration. We have around 400 employees. The main selling point has been the ability to download office on devices at home. We have been on Google Apps for 3-4 years.
Some questions:
I realize that O365 now has many similar features to Google Apps, but how do the two system stack up when compared? Most of our users 80% are low level computer users (email, word processing, etc)
Is it as reliable as Google Apps?
Does 365 apps work like advertised?
The migration of mail should be straightforward, but can GDrive, Youtube, and Sites be migrated over to the Office 365 version? If yes, are the documents broken? (Do the documents need to be reformatted, etc)
Which system do you prefer? Why? (I know this might be a loaded question.....Mac vs. PC type thing)
